I have been remiss. I suspect I need to give myself permission to not post as often during the first week of a new term of classes. Being the teacher, I actually do have to make course prep a priority, along with helping my students navigate the online environment, the face to face environment, and college in general. So now, back to our regularly scheduled programming. Today's photo challenge, "Far." This is a photo of the Vista House on the Oregon Side of the Columbia river gorge. I took this last week at Camp Menucha. I was surprised by how colorful this picture came out, since I took it in low light without my zoom lens at dusk.

Vista House - The View from the Women's RetreatThis week I have the good fortune to have been selected by my employing college to attend The Pacific NW Great Teacher's Seminar. It's being held practically in my back yard, but in a part off it I simply don't get to visit often enough. You know how you can get busy with your life and forget that there is something spectacular nearby? Well, I live in an area with a great many "spectacular" places. I'm rather ashamed that I don't get out to them more often.
This particular location overlooks the Columbia River Gorge, with bits of Portland and Vancouver peeking out at us from the west.
